Job summary

Leprino Foods Company is seeking a Cheese Sanitation Operator for the 3rd shift in Michigan. The role focuses on sanitation of equipment and building, assisting in shutdowns, and cleaning of conveyors and utensils in the Cheese Production Department.

Schedule runs 9:30 PM - 6:00 AM with 8-hour shifts and a $1 shift premium for 6 PM to 6 AM, requiring weekend and holiday coverage. Responsibilities include pre-cleaning, CIP-ing, GMP compliance, and coordinating with maintenance and management.

Qualifications

• Must communicate verbally and in writing.
• Must support 24/7/365 operation.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be able to lift 30 lbs from floor to shoulder and climb stairs hourly.

Responsibilities

• Pre-cleaning and CIP-ing of department conveyors, extruders, dry mixers, brine discharge belting and Cooper cutter.
• Ensure all shutdown cheese is handled in a sanitary manner and properly designated.
• Comply with housekeeping and Good Manufacturing Procedures.
• Communicate effectively with co-workers, Maintenance and department management.
• Follow all required safety practices and procedures.
