Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville, IL, is seeking a Charged Nurse (RN) for the Ortho Trauma unit on the Night shift. Join a Level I Trauma Center with a collaborative team and a strong focus on safety and exceptional patient care.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in nursing, an active RN license, and approximately 5 years of nursing experience with leadership aptitude. BLS certification is required within 6 months unless exempted, with rotating weekends and holidays

Qualifications

• RN license in the state where you practice and BLS certification per AHA requirements within 6 months unless exempted.

Responsibilities

• Ensure nursing unit operates efficiently during shifts and adheres to policies and regulatory requirements.
• Facilitate collaboration among healthcare professionals for coordinated patient care.
• Provide clinical oversight to ensure care meets standards and protocols.
• Support staff in decision-making, interventions, and documentation to foster clinical excellence.
• Mentor and coach nursing staff, promoting ongoing learning and improvement.
• Oversee quality improvement within the unit and identify opportunities for patient care enhancements.
• Promote clear communication and teamwork to optimize patient care delivery.
• Ensure efficient resource use, including staffing, equipment, and supplies.
• Coordinate emergency response and crisis management within the unit.
• Advocate for patients and families, upholding rights and preferences.
