Job summary

Sysco is seeking a Night Yard Spotter in Maine. This role moves trucks and trailers in and out of dock doors for loading and unloading, ensuring seals and refrigeration units function correctly.

Night schedule runs Sunday through Thursday with a pay rate of $32.91 per hour. Responsibilities include aligning equipment with door assignments, keeping the yard organized, recording reefers, and coordinating with fleet management to ensure safe, efficient operations.

Qualifications

• 1 year of warehouse or transportation experience preferred.
• Truck backing experience preferred.
• CDL required to drive and handle equipment.
• Pallet Jack and Forklift Certification from Sysco; can obtain after hire.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with loaders and supervision to move trucks and trailers according to door assignments.
• Checks seals and that refrigeration unit is operating correctly.
• Moves trucks and trailers between doors to complete loading.
• Ensures trailer or truck is loaded and secured before moving.
• Works with transportation management to use proper equipment on routes.
• Ensures repairs are completed before equipment is used.
