Mesquite Gaming is seeking a Security Officer to maintain a safe and secure environment in a casino setting. The role involves being a visible deterrent to unlawful activity and assisting guests and staff.

Requirements include a minimum age 21, Nevada gaming permit, CPR/AED certification, clean DMV history, and ability to work all shifts including weekends and holidays. The starting rate is $19.00 per hour for graveyard shift.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Good listening and communication skills, professional with guests and staff.
• Basic computer skills including Word and Excel for security reports.
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize calls for service, and remain calm under stress.
• Conflict resolution, integrity, and customer-focused mindset are essential.
• Must be able to work all shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Follows policies and regulations to protect assets and provide a safe environment.
• Investigates complaints and prepares accurate written reports; may testify when necessary.
• Maintains positive relationships with other departments to resolve issues.
• Responds to service calls via radio/telephone and coordinates with security and emergency services.
• Provides escorts for safety and acts as first-responder in medical situations.
• Performs other duties as assigned by management.
