Job summary

Qualifications

• A minimum of one (1) year experience assisting in the care of mental health patients in an acute psychiatric setting, preferred.
• Experience supporting licensed staff in a behavioral health environment is advantageous.
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient rights is expected.

Responsibilities

• Assists licensed staff in the supervision of clients.
• Assists staff in provision of patient care in accordance with the individual treatment plan.
• Observes and monitors patients’ progress and reports observations to appropriate staff.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living skills.
• Attends appropriate hospital in-service training programs.
• Implements appropriate emergency measures in crisis situations.
• Documents patient care legibly.
• Abides by HIPAA regulations and promotes a safe environment.
