Job summary

The Argonaut Hotel, part of Noble House Hotels & Resorts, located in San Francisco's Fisherman’s Wharf, seeks a Night Auditor to safeguard nightly financial integrity and guest experience. As Manager-On-Duty, you will balance revenue, reconcile daily activity, handle emergencies, supervise overnight front desk tasks, and coordinate with security to maintain safety.

Strong attention to detail, hospitality knowledge, and proficiency with Opera PMS and MS Office are preferred; prior Night Audit

Qualifications

• High School diploma required, college degree preferred.
• Accounting background is a plus but not required.
• Experience as Night Auditor or Front Desk is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review, audit, and reconcile daily hotel activity across departments.
• Balance cash transactions, deposits, and house postings for the next day.
• Audit Front Desk revenue, adjustments, deposits, and folio balances for accuracy.
• Prepare daily room revenue reports and performance data for management.
• Ensure guest folios and payment methods are accurate and properly routed.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies across revenue streams before audit roll.
• Monitor cancellations, no-shows, and deposits to protect revenue integrity.
• Complete nightly audit and generate required reports for operations and finance.
• Act as Manager on Duty overnight and handle guest concerns professionally.
• Respond to emergencies calmly and coordinate with on-duty staff.
• Support Front Desk operations for guest arrivals/departures overnight.
• Coordinate with overnight Security for safety and building walks.
• Maintain pass-on communication and follow-ups for continuity.
