Job Overview

The Night Auditor is a vital member of the hotel staff responsible for overseeing financial and administrative activities during the night shift. This role demands attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work independently.

What You'll Be Doing

1. Guest Services:
   • Assist guests with late check-ins and early check-outs, creating a welcoming atmosphere.
   • Address guest inquiries, concerns, and requests during the night shift, ensuring high customer satisfaction.
2. Front Desk Operations:
   • Process check-ins and check-outs during the night hours.
   • Manage reservations and room assignments accurately.
   • Handle phone calls, take messages, and provide guest information.
   • Maintain organized records of financial transactions and guest interactions.
   • Ensure compliance with data protection regulations.
   • Complete administrative tasks like filing, data entry, and report preparation.
3. Nightly Reports and Reconciliation:
   • Compile and distribute daily reports to departments.
   • Verify and reconcile guest accounts for accuracy.
   • Prepare and balance daily revenue reports.
4. Accounting and Bookkeeping:
   • Post charges, payments, and adjustments accurately.
   • Perform end-of-day reconciliation and close financial transactions.
5. Security and Safety:
   • Monitor hotel premises for safety and security.
   • Respond to emergencies appropriately.

Skills and Abilities

• High School diploma or equivalent, or relevant experience.
• Experience in hotel front office or guest services.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in hotel management software and computers.
• Experience with Microsoft Office.

Working Conditions & Physical Effort

Physical work includes standing, walking, climbing, bending, reaching, pulling, pushing, kneeling, lifting up to 50 lbs, mostly in an interior hotel environment.
