Job summary

Choice Hotels International, Inc. is seeking a Night Audit Representative in Bloomington, IN, to deliver superior guest service in a fast-paced hotel environment. The starting hourly wage is $18.00, with benefits after probation and opportunities for growth in a global lodging company.

The role requires accurate recording of receipts, cash handling, and end-of-day procedures while maintaining a friendly, proactive approach to guest inquiries. Overnight availability is required.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of one year hotel front desk experience.
  • Experience with Opera PMS is preferred.
  • Accurate math and 10-key calculator skills.
  • Strong customer service and multitasking abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Record and report property receipts accurately and timely.
  • Handle cash, balance cash postings and perform end-of-day audits.
  • Assist guests at check-out and provide change as needed.
  • Prepare reports and ensure system readiness for the next day.
  • Deliver 100% guest satisfaction through genuine hospitality.

Position Summary

The role of Night Audit Representative requires an individual the ability to provide superior guest service in a fast‑paced, hotel environment, ensuring 100% guest satisfaction.

What will you be doing?

Ensuring accurate and timely recording and reporting of all property receiptsFollowing cash handling procedures as outlined by the accounting departmentCollecting payment at check out and provides change for guests as neededPerforming all end of day front desk and night audit functions, including reviewing cashier audits for accuracy, balancing credit card postings to computer system, maintaining computer database integrity daily, and auditing of master billsPreparing all computer systems for the following dayEnsuring accurate and timely backup of files / tapes are maintained on a daily basisPreparing, balances, posts, and distributes all necessary reports on a daily basisInteracting with all in a professional manner, assisting other departments with necessary informationCreates 100% guest satisfaction by providing the Radisson experience through performance that demonstrates the standards of, genuine hospitality and exceeding guest expectationsGives personal attention, takes personal responsibility, and uses teamwork when providing guest serviceListens, apologizes with empathy, finds a solution, and follows through when resolving guest problemsProvides Yes I Can! genuine hospitality and teamwork on an ongoing basisAssumes the responsibility to notice when the guest is not satisfied and uses their best judgment as to when it is appropriate to use the 100% Guest SatisfactionPerforms other duties required to provide the service brand behavior and genuine hospitalityPerforms other duties as required by Management to provide 100% Guest Satisfaction and genuine hospitality to our Guest

Requirement/Skills
  • Ideal candidate will have a minimum of one-year of hotel front desk experience, other hotel experience or experience in a customer service environment
  • Experience in Opera system preferred
  • Proficient in math with ability to make accurate mathematical calculations
  • Basic mathematical skills and ability to make accurate mathematical calculations using a 10‑key calculator
  • Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills
  • Works well independently or as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Commitment to exceptional guest service
  • Ability to maintain a positive and professional attitude when handling all situations
  • Adhere to the policies and procedures of the hotel
  • Must be available to work over night
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including , holidays, and weekends
  • Working knowledge of computer and math skills.
Physical Demands
  • Ability to stand, stoop or bend for entire shift
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds

The hotel business functions seven days a week, 24 hours a day. All associates must realize this fact and be aware that at all times it may be necessary to move associates from their accustomed shift and alter assigned duties as business dictates. In addition, this is a hospitality business, and a hospitable service atmosphere must be maintained at all times
