Job summary

Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is hiring an Airport Security Officer in Kahului, HI. This part-time role offers a stable schedule and the chance to serve travelers and staff with professional, friendly service.

Shifts are Thursday to Saturday nights. The position requires a valid driver's license, ability to pass background checks and drug screening, and English fluency.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent requirement.
• Valid driver’s license as per policy.
• Ability to read, write and speak English fluently.
• Background check, drug screening and possible DOT-related checks.
• Licensing requirements may apply prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to travelers, visitors, employees, and tenants by following security procedures and airport policies when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, suspicious activity, and critical situations calmly per airport and government protocols.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of terminals, parking facilities, access points, perimeter areas and other locations to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials, and report irregularities to supervisors or responders.
• Document observations and patrol activities accurately and communicate to supervisors and responders.
