Job summary

The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center seeks an Advanced Practice Provider to join the Emergency Medicine CDU night team. You will assess patients, plan treatments, manage symptoms, coordinate care, and support procedures in a fast-paced acute care unit.

Ideal candidates have at least one year of APP experience in Hospital Medicine/ICU/Acute Care or Emergency Medicine, with strong clinical judgment and the ability to work 12-hour night shifts and rotate weekends.

Qualifications

• Requires licensure as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse or Physician Assistant per Texas regulatory boards.
• One year APP experience in Hospital Medicine, ICU, Acute Care, Emergency Medicine, Critical Care, or inpatient medicine preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and document findings.
• Plan and coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams.
• Provide analgesia, symptom management, and care coordination.
• Support diagnostic and therapeutic procedures under physician supervision.
• Communicate plans to patients, families, and care teams.
