Job summary
Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care for a travel nursing job in Lubbock, Texas. This role offers 12-hour day shifts with a 36-hour workweek to support critically ill neonates in a NICU setting.
Required qualifications include one year of NICU experience, valid RN license, BLS and NRP certifications. Preferred credentials include RNC-NIC and PALS/ENPC to enhance care delivery.
Qualifications
- One year of recent experience as a neonatal intensive care RN.
- Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations.
- Current BLS (AHA/ARC) Certification.
- Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification.
Responsibilities
- Assesses and monitors critically ill and premature neonates, identifying changes and documenting conditions and responses.
- Operates and manages advanced NICU equipment, such as ventilators, CPAP machines, and infusion pumps.
- Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved neonatal nursing techniques.
- Educates and supports parents on neonatal care, including feeding techniques and developmental care.
