Job summary

TotalMed is seeking a travel nurse RN NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care for a Lake Forest, Illinois assignment. The 12-week travel position features 36 hours per week, with 12-hour day shifts and required 1–2 years of recent acute care experience.

As a NICU RN, you will care for sick and premature infants, monitor vital signs, perform feedings, insert catheters, start IVs, and support families. The role includes a tax-free stipend and weekly pay as part of TotalMed's travel nurse program.

Qualifications

• BLS, NRP, and at least 2 years of acute care experience.
• Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.

Responsibilities

• Care for sick or premature infants in the NICU.
• Monitor vital signs and initiate corrective actions.
• Provide nutritional assessment and specialized feedings.
• Change dressings, insert catheters, start IVs.
• Provide arterial and intravenous therapy.
• Monitor and adjust equipment such as incubators and ventilators.
