Job summary

Wellington Regional Medical Center in Wellington, FL is seeking a Seasonal, full-time Respiratory Therapist to deliver all aspects of respiratory care, including neonatal care, on a night shift schedule. This 235-bed acute care hospital is part of Universal Health Services and provides ongoing professional growth within a supportive team.

Applicants must graduate from an AMA approved program, hold a Florida respiratory therapist license, and maintain BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP and STABLE

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA approved program.
• Current registered respiratory therapist license in the State of Florida.
• Current American Heart Association BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP & STABLE certifications required.
• Minimum one (1) year experience in neonatal intensive care services and/or completion of department’s NICU orientation is required.
• Minimum one (1) year experience in an acute critical care setting is required.

Responsibilities

• Delivers all aspects of Respiratory Care to all age groups.
• Assists in the orientation and training of new staff members and acts as a resource person.
• Is able to cross train in other areas and willing to float to fulfill hospital needs.
• Participates in department QI studies, Inservices, and meetings.
• Verbalizes stroke alert process and maintains airway support as needed.
