Job summary

Baptist Health - Central Alabama is seeking a NICU RN for the weekend day shift at Baptist Medical Center East. The role requires active RN licensure, BLS, and the use of the nursing process to ensure quality patient care.

The RN will supervise nursing staff on weekend shifts, coordinate with physicians, and perform assigned duties within scope while maintaining safe and effective care delivery.

Qualifications

• Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Active RN licensure required; BLS required; ACLS/PALS/NRP/TNCC may be required depending on area.
• Ability to observe, assess, and record work, safety and infection control standards.
• Ability to work independently and in a team; communicate effectively in writing and speech.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate nursing personnel on shift, weekends and holidays.
• Use the nursing process for patient assessments, planning and interventions.
• Collaborate with physicians and clinicians to plan and implement patient care.
• Performs additional duties within the scope of the role as assigned.
