Job summary

Denver Health is seeking a mission-driven Registered Nurse (RN) for the NICU as a PRN team member. The NICU is a 26-bed unit caring for about 350 newborns annually, with a strong interprofessional team and family-centered care.

Responsibilities include nursing care, assessments, and collaboration with physicians and therapists to promote safety and quality outcomes. One year of direct patient care experience is preferred, with required BLS/CPR, RN licensure, and NRP within 6 months of hire.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree required.
• RN license with DORA required and active.
• NRP certification required within 6 months of hire.
• BLS/CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs and develop care plans.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
• Monitor patient condition and vital signs.
• Administer nursing care and medications as prescribed.
• Instruct families on health education and aftercare.
• Coordinate with care team for plan implementation.
