Job summary

Baptist Health is seeking a registered nurse to provide direct and indirect patient care in our Memphis care setting. You will collaborate with physicians, leadership, and multidisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes, using critical thinking, nursing processes, compassion, integrity, and empathy.

The role involves patient education, prioritization, and support for autonomy and dignity, with opportunities to participate in lifelong learning and cost-conscious care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• RN license required; BLS certification within 14 days of hire.
• ACLS/PALS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients based on medical condition.
• Administer medications as prescribed.
• Provide age-appropriate patient care and education.
• Create and evaluate a teaching plan involving the family.
• Use nursing knowledge to perform treatments and services.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team for patient care.
• Assist physicians with procedures and perform technical tasks.
• Address psychosocial needs and coordinate post-discharge with social services.
• Practice cost-effective care and minimize waste.
• Prioritize patient care safely and efficiently.
• Promote patient safety and reduce risk.
• Commit to lifelong learning in nursing.
