Qualifications

• RN/Registered Respiratory Therapist with NICU experience and neonatal credentials.
• Proficient ventilator management and weaning protocols for neonates.
• Strong documentation in electronic medical records with accurate outcomes.
• Ability to develop and implement individualized respiratory care plans.
• Infection control, patient safety, and strict adherence to protocols.
• Collaborative participation in rounds with physicians and nursing staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality neonatal ICU respiratory care to stabilize and treat patients.
• Manage ventilator settings and weaning protocols for NICU patients.
• Assess, monitor, and document patient status and treatment effectiveness.
• Develop and implement individualized respiratory care plans with interdisciplinary teams.
• Ensure strict adherence to infection control and patient safety standards.
• Participate in rounds and communicate findings to physicians and nurses.
• Maintain and calibrate respiratory therapy equipment and ensure daily readiness.
• Document care activities and outcomes in electronic medical records accurately.
• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and performance metrics tracking.
• Educate families about respiratory care plans and discharge needs.
• Identify opportunities for professional development and pursue relevant certifications.
