Job summary

Southern Hills Hospital and Medical Center is seeking a NICU Clinical Pharmacist to ensure safe and effective medication use for neonates. You will be embedded in the NICU, participating in rounds, guiding therapy and safety, and collaborating with the care team to optimize drug pathways and dosing.

You will respond to neonatal emergencies, help develop clinical pathways, and may precept pharmacy students from Roseman University and other schools.

Qualifications

  • BS or PharmD from ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy.
  • Active pharmacist license in good standing.
  • 1 year of acute care hospital Level II NICU experience.
  • Level III NICU experience preferred.
  • PGY Residency training preferred.
  • PALS and NRP required within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Embed in the NICU to provide patient-centered pharmaceutical care.
  • Serve as primary medication expert on interdisciplinary care team.
  • Participate in daily rounds and drive quality initiatives.
  • Respond to neonatal emergencies and rapid response calls.
  • Collaborate on development, review and update of clinical pathways, protocols, and drug libraries.
  • Precept pharmacy students through Roseman University and other Pharmacy Schools.
