Job summary

Soliant is hiring a NICU Nurse Practitioner in Nashville, Tennessee to provide advanced neonatal care in a collaborative, multidisciplinary Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. The NP will work independently within scope of practice, managing neonatal patients from admission through discharge.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant experience.
  • Current Tennessee Nurse Practitioner license/certification.

Responsibilities

  • Obtain and document comprehensive health histories for neonatal patients.
  • Perform and document complete, system-focused, or symptom-specific physical examinations, assessments, and plans of care.
  • Provide neonatal healthcare services for critically ill and complex patients and manage their overall care.
  • Identify expected outcomes related to patient diagnoses and develop appropriate plans of care.
  • Order, perform, interpret, and collect clinical data using appropriate assessment techniques, diagnostic information, and procedures.
  • Develop differential diagnoses and treat acute and chronic conditions within the neonatal population.
  • Prescribe appropriate pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic therapeutic interventions within scope of practice.
  • Provide delivery room services and participate in neonatal transport services.
  • Initiate appropriate referrals and consultations and provide consultation services as requested and within scope of practice.
  • Facilitate transitions between healthcare settings, including admission, transfer, and discharge.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, respiratory therapists, and other members of the multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure high-quality neonatal care.

Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years NICU RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.


We are seeking a NICU Nurse Practitioner to take a permanent position in Nashville, Tennessee. The NICU Nurse Practitioner will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to provide comprehensive care to critically ill and convalescing infants in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.


The provider will function independently as an advanced practice provider and will be responsible for the management of neonatal patients from admission through discharge. This role provides an opportunity to care for complex neonatal patients while working within a highly collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.


Key Responsibilities

Qualifications

Required:



  • Master’s degree

  • Minimum of 2 years of Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant experience

  • Current Tennessee Nurse Practitioner license/certification


Licensure Consideration

Consideration may be given to qualified candidates who are able to obtain Tennessee licensure/certification within 3 months, in accordance with applicable state guidelines.

Compensation & Benefits


  • Salary Range: $115,147 – $182,005

  • Relocation Allowance: Up to $10,000 for candidates who reside more than 100 miles from hospital

  • Potential Sign-On Bonus: $15,000 for eligible candidates with 2+ years of Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant experience
