Fox Point Recruitment LLC is assisting a leading healthcare organization in Central California to recruit an Assistant Nurse Manager for the NICU in Fresno. The role focuses on operational leadership, staff development, and ensuring high-quality care for critically ill newborns.

This exempt leadership position requires NICU experience, a nursing degree, and active California RN licensure. Relocation assistance is available to support the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Nursing required.
• Current California RN license required.
• BLS certification required (AHA).
• RNC-NIC certification within 6 months of hire or transfer.
• NRP certification within 90 days of hire or transfer.
• Minimum 2 years NICU or related nursing experience.
• Previous leadership or management experience required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee daily NICU operations.
• Support patient care delivery and ensure adherence to clinical standards.
• Mentor and develop nursing staff through coaching, education, and performance support.
• Promote a positive, inclusive, and team-oriented work environment.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes and operational efficiency.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and departmental leadership activities.
• Help manage staffing, workflow, and patient care coordination within the unit.
• Support employee engagement and professional development efforts.
