Qualifications

  • Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) with Missouri or compact license.
  • CPR/AED/BLS certification; other BLS within 14 days may be required.
  • Some units require additional unit-specific affirmations/certifications/work experience.

Responsibilities

  • Adheres to hospital policies related to medication safety and order writing.
  • Answers calls, triages patient care, documents nursing assessments.
  • Intervenes promptly to ensure patient and staff safety.
  • Maintains a consistent work schedule and models therapeutic communication.
  • Coordinates healthcare services with hospital teams, vendors, and physicians.
  • Demonstrates leadership and delegates appropriately within the unit.
  • Applies critical thinking to the nursing process and plans of care.
  • Assesses patients independently and adapts care as conditions change.
  • Provides patient/family education and supports learning activities.
