Qualifikationen

• Associate or Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current Respiratory Therapist license as required by the state.
• RRT credential preferred or required as applicable.
• NICU or neonatal respiratory care experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of neonatal respiratory care and ventilator management.
• BLS/NRP certification as applicable.

Aufgaben

• Assess and monitor respiratory status of neonates and infants.
• Provide oxygen therapy and respiratory treatments as ordered.
• Manage and monitor mechanical ventilation and other respiratory support.
• Assist with airway management and emergency respiratory interventions.
• Perform respiratory procedures, including suctioning and blood gas collection as applicable.
• Monitor ventilator settings, oxygen levels, and patient response.
• Recognize changes in respiratory condition and respond promptly.
• Educate and support parents and caregivers regarding respiratory care.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Follow infection control, safety, and NICU standards of care.
