Job summary

StaffDNA is seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist for its NICU to provide specialized respiratory care for premature or critically ill newborns. You will administer oxygen therapy, support ventilation, and monitor infant respiratory status with empathy and precision.

You will work with neonatologists and NICU staff to tailor care plans, perform blood gas analyses, educate families, and maintain detailed patient records. This role requires rotating shifts in a fast-paced NICU setting.

Qualifications

• Neonatal respiratory care experience is preferred.
• Proficient with oxygen therapy and ventilator support.
• Ability to perform blood gas analysis and interpret results.
• Strong documentation skills for patient records.
• Effective collaboration with neonatologists and NICU staff.

Responsibilities

• Administer oxygen therapy, ventilator support, and other respiratory treatments to neonates in the NICU.
• Monitor vital signs and adjust respiratory support based on the infant's condition.
• Collaborate with neonatologists and NICU staff to develop individualized care plans.
• Perform diagnostic tests such as blood gas analysis to evaluate lung function.
• Educate parents on respiratory equipment and discharge procedures when appropriate.
• Maintain accurate documentation of treatments and patient progress.
