Job summary

Nemours Children’s Health- Delaware Valley seeks an Advanced Practice Provider for the NICU at Jefferson Einstein Philadelphia Hospital in Philadelphia, PA. The APR will function in an independent and expanded collaborative role, managing a primary caseload of critically ill neonates/infants and their families, with attendance in the delivery room for high-risk deliveries as needed.

The role includes rounds in NICU, comprehensive neonatal care, and collaboration with neonatologists.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years Neonatal NP/PA experience; new to practice considered.
• NP certification as Neonatal Nurse Practitioner and ARNP license in the applicable state.
• PA license with NCCPA certification.
• Current BLS and NRP certifications.

Responsibilities

• Manage neonatal intensive care with a collaborative neonatology team.
• Attend distressed neonates in the delivery room and initiate interventions.
• Perform newborn exams and assess gestational age; distinguish normal from abnormal.
• Conduct family interviews and gather medical history.
• Collaborate on diagnostic and therapeutic plans for all admissions.
• Order labs and procedures; perform appropriate neonatal interventions.
• Participate in NICU rounds and oversee temperature, nutrition, and phototherapy care.
