Job summary

Qualifications

• 1-year recent full-time equivalent experience in Level III NICU or successful completion of KP Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) course or approved equivalent within prior 12 months
• Registered Nurse License (California)
• Basic Life Support and Neonatal Resuscitation Program requirements

Responsibilities

• Upholds Kaiser Permanente policies and procedures, Principles of Responsibilities, and applicable laws
• Leads the health care team; delegates tasks and demonstrates accountability
• Understands scope of practice and escalates issues as appropriate
• Mentors, orients, and coaches others in unit operations and patient care activities
• Performs nursing process including assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient care
• Ensures patient safety and accurate documentation
