STI in Indianapolis, IN, seeks an experienced molecular biology specialist to perform high-complexity testing in a clinical/reference laboratory. You will extract nucleic acids from specimens, use PCR/NGS, and help validate new methods.

Responsibilities include QA/QC, documentation, and strict adherence to CLIA procedures under supervision. Excellent communication and teamwork are essential in this on-site role.

Qualifikationen

• Extensive knowledge of molecular biology, and related sub- specialties.
• Experience with Next Generation Sequencing platforms and procedures.
• Specialized knowledge of current scientific methods and testing procedures.
• Ability to use standard technical equipment and automated analysis.
• Knowledge of laboratory safety and CLIA regulations.
• Ability to meet personnel certification requirements and QA proficiency testing.

Aufgaben

• Extract nucleic acids from specimens and samples using manual and automated methods.
• Utilize molecular techniques such as PCR, MALDI-TOF, and NGS.
• Develop, validate, and implement new testing methods and SOPs.
• Provide technical oversight of daily high-complexity testing and documentation.
• Maintain lab records, QC, instrument calibration, and maintenance.
