Job summary

Menlo Church in Mountain View seeks a NextGen Associate dedicated to growing our NextGen ministry across multiple campuses. You will lead volunteers, equip parents, and create environments where kids and students encounter Jesus, build meaningful friendships, and grow in their faith.

Partnering with the NextGen Director and campus teams, you will recruit, train, onboard, and develop volunteers, align weekly curriculum, and implement practical tools and systems to sustain healthy volunteer teams.

Qualifications

• College degree or 2+ years in youth ministry.
• Ability to recruit, train, and develop volunteers.
• Experience leading staff and lay leaders in ministry.
• Experience working in a multi-site church.
• Strong communication and relational skills.
• Theological foundation and youth ministry know-how.
• Proficiency with common office tools and collaboration apps.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and execute Sunday experiences and campus events.
• Schedule volunteers for NextGen events and weekly gatherings.
• Recruit, train, encourage, and support volunteers.
• Ensure volunteers complete screening and training and follow safety standards.
• Provide leadership during Sunday programming and engage families.
• Create welcoming environments where families and kids grow in faith.
• Manage projects, prioritize tasks, and delegate responsibilities.
• Build relationships with campus staff, volunteers, and families.
• Complete additional duties and special projects.
