Job summary

First Baptist Church of Alcoa seeks a full-time Next Generation Director to lead ministries from birth through high school graduation. You will cast a unified vision, develop volunteers, and equip families to make disciples.

Initially you will lead either children's or student ministry while mentoring others, then recruit and supervise additional staff as the church grows. You will partner with the Senior Pastor in preaching, care, and outreach.

Qualifications

• Meet biblical qualifications for church leadership and agree with church statement of faith.
• Demonstrate spiritual maturity, leadership, and a heart for shepherding people.
• Gifted in teaching God's Word and equipping volunteers for ministry.
• Experience leading children's or student ministry is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee all ministries from birth through high school graduation.
• Shepherd children, students, parents, volunteers, and families.
• Recruit, train, encourage, and lead volunteer teams.
• Develop a biblically faithful, prayerful, and disciple‑making culture.
• Equip parents to serve as primary disciplers of their children.
• Lead outreach to the community, including public schools.
• Support the Senior Pastor through preaching, leadership, and pastoral care.
