Job summary

Pinelake Church is seeking a NextGen Lead for the Starkville Campus to implement the NextGen strategy across birth through college. You will lead the Starkville NextGen staff and partner with the campus pastor to shepherd the faith family and foster discipleship across age groups.

Responsibilities include leading staff, coordinating with the One Church Team, planning activities, and managing the NextGen budget.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and seminary experience; and 5+ years of related experience and/or training.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to communicate clearly and effectively with diverse groups.
• Ability to manage budgets and supervise NextGen staff.

Responsibilities

• Leads and evaluates all components of the NextGen Ministries for the campus.
• Collaborates with NextGen staff and One Church Team to set goals and strategy.
• Plans and promotes activities to support ministry strategies and communicates them to staff and congregation.
• Oversees recruitment and onboarding of servant leaders and provides training and growth opportunities.
• Prepares and manages the budget for NextGen Ministries under the Campus Pastor’s guidance.
• Aligns work with church mission and strategies; performs other duties as assigned.

SUMMARY

Leads the NextGen team at the Starkville Campus ranging from birth through college. Responsible for implementing the One Church developed NextGen strategy (via collaboration) through the campus’ NextGen Staff. Serves as a team leader on the Starkville Staff and partners directly with the campus pastor.

SPECIFIC LIST OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Leads, oversees, and evaluates all components of the NextGen Ministries of the Starkville Campus.
• In collaboration with the Starkville NextGen staff and the One Church Team (for direction and strategy), establishes goals and objectives for this ministry and initiates strategies to fulfill them.
• Plans and promotes activities to support the NextGen Ministry strategies (in conjunction with the One Church Team) and supervises the communication of these activities to other staff members and the campus congregation as appropriate.
• Oversee the NextGen staff as they recruit and onboard servant leaders in their ministries to provide initial and ongoing training and growth opportunities, keeping with the vision of Ephesians 4:11-12.
• Prepares and manages the budget for all NextGen Ministries under the guidance of the Campus Pastor.
• Works in coordination with the overall goals and objectives of the church mission and strategies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

All NextGen ministry staff to include preschool, kids, middle school, high school and college.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

Effectively present information in one‑on‑one and small group situations to servants, congregation members, and other employees of the organization. The individual must be able to apply basic mathematical concepts and operations to such tasks as accounting, budget management, and financial expense.
