Job summary

KQED is seeking an Operations Analyst to schedule the newsroom and Digital Video and Radio Administration teams. This hybrid San Francisco role ensures timely, accurate shifts and provides project management support to the Content department.

You’ll handle sensitive data, backfill for senior managers, and coordinate with HR, Talent, and Finance to control costs while optimizing staffing.

Responsibilities

• Plan, publish and maintain daily and weekly assignments and shifts.
• Backfill for Senior Operations Manager and coordinate with senior leaders.
• Manage TV, FM, and Facilities scheduling and production work orders.
• Serve as SME on SAG-AFTRA and CA Wage and Hour Law for newsroom scheduling.
• Oversee extended staffing projects and reporting on cost implications.
• Monitor cost controls; flag OT and overrun risks to leadership.
• Maintain training records and ensure scheduling software is updated.
• Train staff and answer questions about timesheets and time off.
