WBTW News 13 in the Myrtle Beach region seeks a News Producer to join our award-winning newsroom. You will produce daily newscasts by selecting stories, writing teases, timing, editing video, and posting content to the station website.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Journalism or Communications is preferred but not required.
• Strong editorial judgment and proofreading capabilities are required.
• Ability to meet tight deadlines and manage time effectively.

Responsibilities

• Newscast Production: conceptualize, structure, and stack daily newscasts with precise timing.
• Content Creation: write scripts, teases, and copy for anchors with accuracy.
• Control Room Leadership: calmly manage breaking news and weather coverage.
• Team Collaboration: work with reporters, photographers, assignment desks, and graphics.
• Multi-Platform Distribution: produce content for broadcast and digital platforms.
