Job summary

Hearst Television is seeking a Graphic Designer to join HTV Design, a centralized graphics hub in Winter Park, FL. You will produce daily news graphics and select custom graphics projects for all Hearst Television markets.

You will interact with design staff, editors, producers and newsrooms, reporting to the News Operations Manager. The role requires collaboration, strong design skills and flexibility for nights, weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite with Photoshop, Illustrator and After Effects
• Cinema 4D and Vizrt experience a plus
• Strong typography, color theory, photography, layout and 2D/3D animation skills
• Portfolio demonstrates knowledge of current industry trends and techniques
• Video editing and timeline work experience is a plus
• Excellent communication and organizational skills; delivers on time
• Military experience considered

Responsibilities

• Work from existing HTV graphics templates to complete daily news graphics requests
• Develop custom 2D and 3D animations for news and promotions for HTV stations
• Adhere to HTV Graphics Style Guide
• Collaborate with news departments across HTV stations
• Build professional relationships with news producers and departments
• Willing to work nights, weekends and holidays as scheduled
