Wplg is seeking a seasoned News Producer to oversee the complete preparation of newscasts. You will write stories, coordinate with reporters, executive producers, assignment desk staff and the production department, and help run the control room.

• 3–5 years’ experience as a writer or producer in a commercial news operation.
• College degree in journalism or broadcasting preferred.
• News knowledge and strong interpersonal skills required.
• Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and holidays.

• Oversee the complete preparation of newscast, including writing stories and coordinating with reporters, executive producers, assignment desk staff and production department.
