Job summary

NewsNation is seeking a part-time Stage Manager to direct the studio floor in a fast-paced News/Production environment. This role will act as the primary liaison between the control room, on-air talent, and stage crew, ensuring smooth broadcasts and timely cues.

The Stage Manager will read ENPS rundown, cue talent, and coordinate with Directors and Stagehands, leading the studio production crew while adapting to ongoing changes on air. This is a DGA position and union membership is required.

Qualifications

• Prior control room and studio experience at broadcast networks.
• Excellent communication skills, detail-oriented, and being able to multitask in a fast-paced environment are a must.

Responsibilities

• Direct the studio floor and cue talent and staff.
• Read ENPS show rundown.
• Maintain professional environment on the studio floor.
• Coordinate with Directors and Stagehands on upcoming segments and is coordination with production crew.
• Lead the studio production crew during broadcasts while keeping on-air talent at ease.
• Identify production elements including props and set pieces for upcoming segments.
• Manage time for all in-studio talent and guests.
• Adapt to frequent changes within the show's broadcast.
• Perform other duties as assigned by network leadership.

Responsibilities

The Stage Manager's responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Maintaining a professional environment on the studio floor
• The ability to read an ENPS show rundown
• Cue talent and relay pertinent information to the studio staff
• Manage time for all in-studio talent and guests
• Stay aware of constant changes within the show's broadcast
• Lead the studio production crew at the same time keeping the on-air talent at ease
• Determine needs of upcoming segments, identifying production elements including props and set elements in coordination with Directors and Stagehands
• Perform other duties as assigned by network leadership

Weekends, early mornings, evenings and holidays may be a part of the schedule with overtime as situations demand. This is a DGA position and union membership is required.

Salary Range

$56-$66 (per experience)
