FOX’s WTXF‑ Fox 29 Philadelphia is seeking a talented Line Producer to own a show, collaborate with on‑air talent, writers, and editors, and drive multi‑platform content strategy. The role demands a strong track record in producing newscasts and developing engaging editorial ideas.

The successful candidate will lead control room operations, mine social media for coverage, and develop digital‑first segments that attract broad audiences across broadcast and streaming platforms.

Qualifications

• Strong writing and show production skills.
• Strong editorial knowledge and decision‑making abilities.
• Excellent news judgment, writing skills, and current events knowledge.
• Exceptional communication and people skills.
• Knowledge of TV production techniques and newsroom systems.
• A background in entertainment and talk programming is a plus.
• Understanding of ratings, meters, and audience flow, with strategic use of data.
• 2–3 years of experience as a TV newscast producer in a medium to major market.
• A four‑year college degree is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Produce all elements of newscasts, including leads, stories, teases, and breakouts.
• Mine social media for information and integrate it into coverage.
• Participate in story selection and development for comprehensive coverage.
• Run the control room editorially during shows and breaking news.
• Innovate and bring ideas to evolve broadcasts for a demographically driven audience.
• Pitch and produce content for OTT/streaming platforms and digital segments.
• Adapt broadcast content for streaming to engage on‑demand viewers across digital ecosystems.
