Job summary

Nexstar Media Group Inc. is seeking a News Producer to craft daily newscasts, choose the order of stories, and write teases. You will time broadcasts, edit video, and post to the website, producing content for broadcast across all platforms.

The role involves writing and ordering stories, approving scripts, balancing news and features for compelling broadcasts, and engaging with viewers on social media. Flexibility to work any shift is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Journalism or related field or equivalent experience.
• Fluency in English.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
• Minimum two years’ experience in news operations (Depending on market size).
• Proficiency with computers, telephones, copiers, scanners, fax machines and other office equipment.
• Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Flexibility to work any shift.

Requirements & Skills:

• Fluency in English
