Qualifications

• Proficiency with video editing equipment.
• Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize tasks and handle multiple assignments.

Responsibilities

• Organizes and strings together raw footage into a continuous whole per scripts for newscasts.
• Reviews assembled footage to determine if corrections are needed.
• Trims segments to specified lengths and reassembles for storytelling.
• Determines audio/visual effects necessary to complete spots.
• Sets up and operates editing systems and related equipment to produce final product.
• Selects the most effective shots to form a logical, smooth story.
• Confers with other personnel to discuss assignments and desired effects.
• Maintains editing equipment.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
