FOX News Channel in Atlanta seeks a talented News Editor (Per Diem) to shape visual narratives for broadcasts. You will work under intense deadlines, collaborating with producers and digital teams.
The ideal candidate has at least two years of experience in a commercial newsroom and must be proficient in non-linear video editing software, with strong digital organization skills.
This role offers a competitive hourly pay rate of $20.00, depending on experience and qualifications.
Fox TV Stations FOX Television Stations owns and operates 29 full power broadcast television stations in the U.S. These include stations located in 14 of the top 15 largest designated market areas, or DMAs, and duopolies in 11 DMAs, including the three largest DMAs (New York, Los Angeles and Chicago). Of these stations, 18 are affiliated with the FOX Network. In addition to distributing sports, entertainment and syndicated content, our television stations collectively produce approximately 1,200 hours of local news every week. These stations leverage viewer, distributor and advertiser demand for the FOX Network’s national content.
In a major market newsroom, pacing, accuracy, and visual impact are everything. We are seeking a talented, fast‑paced News Editor (Per Diem) to shape the visual narrative of our daily broadcasts and streaming content. Working as a per diem crew member, you will collaborate closely with Newscast Producers and the Digital Team to transform raw footage into compelling, clean, and high‑impact news sequences under intense deadline pressure.
Experience: Two (2) years of experience as a news video editor at a commercial television station is preferred. Education: Bachelor’s degree from a four‑year college or university is preferred. Systems: Ability to quickly master the station’s newsroom computer system (iNews) and clipping software post‑hire.

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role is $20.00 per hour. Pay will be dependent on education, skills, experience, and location.
