Overview

WWL Radio and Audacy New Orleans are looking for a motivated, hard working individual who would like to report and anchor news and traffic for the radio stations and digital properties of Audacy New Orleans. The winning candidate should have on-air experience, a great attitude, a desire to help the community through broadcast and posted information, have excellent writing skills, and be a great team player.

What You'll Do

• Develop story ideas for coverage
• Gather information, conduct interviews and prepare stories for broadcast and posting
• Anchor news and traffic reports
• Operate a range of technical equipment, including audio control boards, recording and playback gear and computer based recording and other programs
• Evaluate news stories, obtain information and maintain a fresh eye for detail
• Stay up to date with local, national and international news developments

More About You

• Must be helpful in traffic gathering operations.
• Knowledge of the broadcast area geography and transportation systems is essential.
• Must be computer literate, have excellent writing and presentation skills.
• Please submit an audio sample of a previously broadcast traffic report or record yourself doing an example of a traffic report.
• A valid driver's license, satisfactory completion of a motor vehicle record check, and, if the position requires use of the applicant's own vehicle, proof of insurance, is required.
