Job summary

KRQE Media Group in Albuquerque is seeking an evening News Anchor to present news stories and content for all platforms, Monday through Friday. You will be the primary presenter, delivering clear, engaging, and meaningful news coverage to viewers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism or related field, or equivalent combination of education and work-related experience.
• Fluency in English.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
• Minimum five years’ experience in news reporting or anchoring.
• Superior on-air presence.
• Excellent news judgment with knowledge of local and national events.
• Experience guiding, directing and motivating others.
• Ability to coach or mentor newsroom staff.
• Ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks.

• Ability to identify the developmental needs of others and to coach, mentor or otherwise help others to improve their knowledge or skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Ability to effectively listen to fully understand problems and communicate with a team to shape a solution.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
