Job summary

The Medical University of South Carolina is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse II to provide individualized, goal-directed care in the newborn nursery. You will collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, high-quality care for patients and their families in a fast-paced environment.

Minimum qualifications include an Associate Degree in Nursing with SC RN licensure (compact state acceptable), BLS, and NRP.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Nursing required; BLS certification required.
• RN licensure by SC Board or compact state.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Newborn Resuscitation Program (NRP) required.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized, goal-directed patient care.
• Collaborate with the health care team to achieve desired outcomes.
• Apply nursing process according to professional standards.
• Work 24 hours per week with two 12-hour shifts and weekend rotation.
