Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking a data technician to support data coding, preparation, and basic statistical analysis in a hybrid lab setting. You will collect data, prepare it for coding, and assist with literature searches and reporting under supervision.

The role requires a High School Diploma, with enrollment in a Bachelor's program preferred. 0–1 year experience and math/statistics background are desirable. This is a per diem, day shift position with a hybrid remote-work option.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required
• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program
• 0-1 year experience; math, statistics, or programming coursework preferred
• Experience in lieu of degree not accepted

Responsibilities

• Collects and codes data.
• Transfers collected data to code sheets.
• Prepares data for keypunching / computer input.
• Documents system changes, informing supervisor of conflicts between coding methods and protocol.
• Prepares written reports on data, as appropriate.
• Performs basic research experiments.
• Assists with analysis of experimental data using basic statistical methods.
• Performs literature searches.
• Assists with maintenance of a clean and orderly lab.
