Qualifications

• RN license in North Carolina
• BSN or MSN in nursing within seven years of employment date
• BLS for Healthcare Provider certification

Responsibilities

• Education: identify learning needs, participate in education programs, assess readiness to learn.
• Evaluation of Care: identify outcomes, revise plans, communicate for continuity of care.
• Implementation: care for patients with complex problems, perform bedside testing, follow policies, prioritize care.
• Leadership: set goals for professional growth, promote collaboration, support cost-effective care.
• Patient Assessment: synthesize data to determine care priorities, anticipate discharge needs.
• Planning: collaborating with patient/family, use multidisciplinary resources, address cultural issues.
• Research: read journals and bring ideas for assessment of applicability.
