Job summary

Augmentis is seeking a procurement professional to support two major teams, ensuring supply security, cost savings, and process optimization to meet production goals. The role emphasizes vendor risk management, contract negotiation, and cross-functional collaboration.

The position offers relocation to Northwest Connecticut with an initial 30–60 day remote period to ease transition, followed by on-site involvement and ongoing development within a globally recognized company.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in business, finance, supply chain, or engineering.
• ITAR compliance requires U.S. person status (citizen or green card holder).
• 5 years of procurement, finance, or supply chain experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare RFQs and proposals based on plant requirements.
• Review quotations and perform cost analyses for best value.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and lead times aligned with plant goals.
• Place and manage purchase orders to support production and inventory.
• Ensure pricing accuracy, codes, and vendor promises in system.
• Coordinate with Receiving to reconcile shipping docs with suppliers.
• Collaborate across departments to resolve plant issues promptly.
• Assist onboarding of new suppliers and item set-ups.
• Ensure procurement procedures meet quality and audit standards.
• Provide excellent support to overall business operations.

The selected candidate will provide support to two major Procurement Teams to ensure Business Unit goals are met through the execution of procurement strategies. Procurement strategies include, but are not limited to, the security of supply, cost savings, optimization of processes, and supplier risk mitigation. The overall goal is to support the production schedule while obtaining the best achievable value for supplies and services while maintaining compliance with company procedures.

Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities

• Prepare request for quotes and proposals based on the Plant requirements.
• Review quotations and perform cost analyses to determine the best value based on price, schedule, quality, and capability.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and lead times that align with Plant goals.
• Place purchase orders based on approved requisitions to support production, operations, and inventory needs.
• Manage and maintain purchase orders to include accurate pricing, charge account codes, and vendor promise dates.
• Monitor invoices on hold and work with internal stakeholders and suppliers for resolution.
• Work with the Receiving department to reconcile shipping documentation from suppliers.
• Collaborate with other departments (Shipping, Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, Quality, Accounts Payable, Facilities, etc) to resolve Plant issues with timely resolution.
• Assist in the onboarding of new suppliers and new item set-ups.
• Ensure company procurement procedure compliance is met for quality and financial audits.
• Provide excellent and attentive support to overall business operations.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, or Engineering.
• This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR),which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e., 'Green Card Holder')

Preferred Qualifications

• 5 years of experience working in Procurement, Finance, or Supply Chain.
• Experience in ORACLE, or a similar type of Enterprise Business Systems experience.
• Experience working with Microsoft Office, with an emphasis on Excel.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to perform metrics and reports on various data collections.
• Willingness to frequently visit the shop floor for a better understanding of Plant operations.
• Customer-oriented personality.
