Pathfinders in Milwaukee seeks a dedicated advocate to support youth survivors of violence through advocacy and accompaniment, including forensic exam support and interactions with law enforcement and prosecutors. The role helps clients explore options, learn rights, access resources, and build safety plans.
The position supervises 1–2 volunteers and focuses on trauma-informed care while coordinating with community partners and Pathfinders services to improve outcomes.
Under the supervision of the Lead Advocate, this position provides support to youth survivors of sexual violence and trafficking through advocacy and accompaniment (forensic exam, interviews with Milwaukee Police Department, District Attorney's office, etc.) and offers support to them through the long term effects of trauma. Responsible for helping clients explore their options, know their rights, access needed community resources, and develop safety plans.
Supervise 1-2 volunteers (including AmeriCorps and Interns) as needed by the program. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies, procedures, and all applicable laws.
Salary range starts at $40,000 annually. Pathfinders offers medical, dental, vision and insurance, and the opportunity to join a caring and committed team of professionals.. This position is union eligible.
