Job summary

MaKa Systems is seeking a Microsoft Engineer to develop and deliver ERP solutions while ensuring compliance with Department of Defense guidelines. The position requires a strong background in ERP delivery, a valid CompTIA Security+ certification, and a STEM degree.

This role is remote until COVID-19 restrictions are lifted, after which the work will be on-site at Picatinny Arsenal, New Jersey. The ideal candidate is a U.S. citizen and possesses the necessary Secret clearance for government projects.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Application Developers

• Analyze functional business applications and design specifications for functional activities.
• Develop block diagrams and logic flow charts.
• Test, debug, and refine software to produce the required product.
• Prepare program‑level and user‑level documentation.
• Enhance software to reduce operating time or improve efficiency.
• Provide technical direction to programmers to ensure program deadlines are met.
• Construct and implement APIs to interface with internal and external web applications.

Enterprise Application Modeler/Developer

• Data, business process and application modeling.
• Provide future business strategies from a data point of view to systems development and database administration groups.
• Analyze enterprise information system baseline and perform gap analysis.
• Perform business and technical design functions, contribute to architecture components, support specialists, and assess solution products.
• Architect and model technical design solutions with developers, DevOps and security teams.

Database Administrators

• Provide highly technical expertise in DBMS usage.
• Evaluate and recommend DBMS products to support user requirements.
• Define file organization, indexing methods, and security procedures for specific applications.
• Design, implement, maintain, upgrade, and support SQL Server databases, including performance tuning, security, disaster recovery, data mart and data warehouse design, replication, clustering and advanced Transact‑SQL programming.
