Qualifications

• Active DoD TS/SCI clearance is required.
• IA Baseline Certification at IAT Level II is required.
• Experience with RMF packages and authorization processes.
• Ability to support SAPs and DoD agency initiatives.

The DCO SME is a well-rounded, hands on cyber security expert who supports development, improves proficiency, and increases operational effectiveness of USSF Cyber Squadron personnel by: providing/employing DCO capabilities, conducting intrusion detection monitoring and analysis, identifying malicious cyber activity and determining attack vectors, executing cyber response activities, developing defensive countermeasures, and providing Subject Matter Expertise to the United States Space Force Cyber Guardians.Information Systems Security : The contractor shall perform Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) and Information Systems Security Manger (ISSM) duties and perform Risk Management Framework (RMF) activities in order to attain and maintain Authority to Operate (ATO) and Authority to Connect (ATC). The ISSO’s primary function is working within Special Access Programs (SAPs) supporting Department of Defense (DoD) agencies, such as HQ Air Force, Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD) and Military Compartments efforts. The position will provide “day-to-day” support for Collateral, Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) and Special Access Program (SAP) activities.Performance shall include :Review, prepare, and update AIS accreditation packagesNotify customer when changes occur that might affect AIS accreditation/certificationPerform AIS self-inspections, provide security coordination and review of all system test plansIdentify AIS vulnerabilities and implement countermeasuresRepresent the customer on various technical review and inspection teamsConduct security surveys at subordinate facilities and gather pertinent security documentation for inclusion into system accreditation packagesCoordinate, prepare, and track AIS inspections, reports, and responsesMaintain AIS security records and prepare Co-Utilization Agreements for network nodes operating in government facilitiesPrepare reports on the status of security safeguards applied to computer systemsEnsure AIS and network nodes are operated, maintained, and disposed of in accordance with security policies and practicesPerform ISSO duties in support of in-house and external customersAssist Department of Defense, National Agency and Contractor organizations with the development of certification and accreditation (C&A) effortsReview, track, and conduct AIS trainingProduce RMF packages for higher headquarters review and approval.Requires DOD Directive 8570.01 IA Baseline Certification Requirement for IAT Level II in order to enable elevated privileges.
