Job summary

GEX Transport in Meridian, MS is seeking an experienced Class A Driver for long-haul routes. You will operate a tractor-trailer, complete inspections, and maintain logs while delivering freight on schedule.

Recent graduates can apply for paid orientation and on-the-road training with a driver mentor. Candidates must be at least 21, hold a CDL class A, have 6 months of OTR or regional experience, and pass a DOT drug screen.

Qualifications

• Must have CDL Class A license and 120 hours of CDL school.
• Minimum 6 months of over‑the‑road or regional driving experience.
• Clean MVR and background; able to pass DOT drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Complete all required inspections.
• Deliver freight safely and on schedule.
• Operate a Class A tractor trailer on long haul routes.
• Maintain accurate logs and trip paperwork.

Compensation:

$1300 to $1500 per week.

Average weekly miles:

2500 to 3200.

Home Time:

2 weeks Over-the-Road and 2 days at home.

Experienced Driver

Must have 6 months of Over‑the‑road or regional experience to qualify for experienced driver.

Duties:

• Complete all required inspections.
• Deliver freight safely and on schedule.
• Operate a Class A tractor trailer on long haul routes.
• Maintain accurate logs and trip paperwork.
• Communicate professionally with dispatch and driver managers.

Requirements:

• minimum age of 21 with a valid CDL Class A license.
• CDL school certificate with at least one hundred twenty hours.
• Clean M.V.R and background.
• Ability to pass D.O.T drug screening.
