Job summary

HNTB Corporation is seeking a planning analyst focused on data collection, analysis, and reporting for urban and transportation planning projects. This role supports a multidisciplinary team from concept through completion, with emphasis on data-driven insights and stakeholder engagement.

Applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, with familiarity in GIS and Office software, and prior internship or related experience preferred.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in urban planning, geography, engineering, or related field.
  • Understanding of GIS software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to compile and summarize data with guidance from experienced staff.
  • Ability to review and summarize relevant research for senior staff.

Responsibilities

  • Researches and collects raw data, organizes, analyzes and reviews data for projects.
  • Performs project analysis using technical guidance and software.
  • Assists project team with development of maps, exhibits, presentation materials, and reporting.
  • Conduсts research on planning topics and develops conceptual planning alternatives for urban and transportation projects.
  • Prepares plans, studies, reports, and environmental documents for transportation projects.
  • Assists in stakeholder and public participation processes.
  • Maintains records and files related to projects.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
