Job summary

Wellstar Health System in Georgia seeks RN Residents to complete a 12-month Nurse Residency Program, designed to transition new graduates into professional practice with less than 6 months of experience as a Registered Nurse.

Residents will participate in unit-based and program-specific sessions, supported by educators and preceptors, to develop clinical skills, critical thinking, and patient-centered care in a high-quality healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited/approved school of nursing required.
• Bachelor's Degree (BSN) preferred.
• All certifications are required upon hire unless otherwise stated.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) - Instructor
• RN licensure (Single State) or RN - Multi-state Compact

Responsibilities

• Performs the Nursing Process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, evaluation) for patient care using evidence-based practice.
• Provides patient and family-centered care with sensitivity to age, gender, disease, and culture.
• Coordinates care through partnerships to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
• Supports professional role transition and ongoing education during the residency.
• Upholds Wellstar Standards of Care and the Code of Ethics in daily practice.
